History of Tecumseh Engines
Tecumseh was founded well over 100 years ago. A man named John Lauson decided that he needed to build better engines to assist farmers, especially in the harsh winter conditions of Wisconsin. In 1895 he developed his own internal combustion engine. 10 years later, in 1905, he had an engine called the "Frost King" that was specifically built to endure cold, winter conditions.
Why are Tecumseh Engines so Popular?
From the days of the original Tecumseh Frost King, to 100 years later and the dominance of the Tecumseh Snow King engine line, Tecumseh engines and parts have continued to evolve and stay a step ahead of the competition. Other engines can survive in winter conditions, and will continue to function properly if everything goes as planned.
Tecumseh Snow King Engine Features
Tecumseh Snow King engines feature an easy start primer. In addition they have a moisture sealed CDI - capacitor discharge ignition - system. Combined, these two features ensure that your snowblower engine will start, and start quickly, no matter how cold it is.
It all adds up to engines that are going to outperform anything else in snow, in ice and in any frigid conditions. Tecumseh Snow King engines for snowblowers are the top of the line, and stand alone, nearly without competition, for a reason.
