The Simplicity Dual-Stage I924E snowblower is in the "Intermediate" two-stage class from Simplicity. It's actually the only current model in this particular class. All together, there are 4 different classes of snowblowers that Simplicity produces. What the Intermediate tag basically means is that it's an extremely affordable yet still heavy duty two-stage snowblower perfect for personal use around your home and property.

Simplicity I924E Dual-Stage Snowblower Features

The I924E snowblower from Simplicity is a two-stage, or dual-stage snowblower model. It really has an impressive cast of features for a snowblower that's priced for the average family to be able to invest in.

The Simplicity I924E uses a Briggs & Stratton engine, just as all Simplicity snowblowers do. This engine is a 4-cycle OHV (Overhead Valve) engine called the Snow Series. It can produce 9 ft.-lbs. of gross torque, which means it's powerful but it's also maneuverable. The I924E has a .75 gallon fuel tank and has an easy electric start with a recoil backup.  There are 6 different speeds going forward and 2 reverse speeds giving you plenty of flexibility.

With a 24 inch clearing width on the Simplcity I924E, you'll be able to tackle large areas in a very quick amount of time. The intake high is almost 20 inches, or 19 and ¾ inches to be exact, which is great for all types of terrain, inclines and obstacles. With 13-inch Snow Hog tires you'll have fantastic traction and be able to calmly and simply control your snowblower no matter what the conditions are.

Additionally this Simplicity snowblower has a 12 inch Auger diameter to help you quickly churn through that snow and ice. The auger itself is made out of heavy duty serrated steel and is protected in an aluminum housing unit. There are 4 impeller blades with a diameter of 10 inches.

The Simplicity Intermediate Dual-Stage I924E snowblower has chute rotation capabilities of up to 200 degrees. With that fully adjustable chute you can throw your snow up to 38 feet.

Should you buy a Simplicity I924E Dual-Stage Snowblower?

OK, I just threw a whole lot of numbers and technical specs at you. For most of us, and even myself from time to time, all of those details can be hard to sort through. So what does it all really mean for the Simplicity Dual-Stage I924E?

The bottom line on the Simplicity I924E is that it's an extremely flexible snow thrower that can stand up to a wide variety of chores. Because it's relatively light and compact, you can get in and out of tight spaces and you can really use pinpoint control on your property. Yet, with a 24 inch clearing width you can cover big swaths of property, whether on your driveway or a walkway, quickly and easily.

If you face really tough conditions or need even more power, then Simplicity makes larger models, including their Large Frame Dual-Stage Series and Signature Pro Commercial Duty Dual-Stage. For most people though, the Simplicity I924E Dual-Stage is going to be perfect. As mentioned, it's a fantastic combination of flexibility, raw power and functionality, plus it's all very well priced.
